tUrn Business & Policy Session: Getting Back on the Right Track with Permitting Reform

A close-up profile photo of Dana Nucitelli

with Dana Nuccitelli, Lead Researcher for Citizens Climate Lobby

Withdrawing from the Paris climate agreement. Erasing EPA climate pollution regulations. Rolling back clean energy incentives. Blocking renewable energy project permits. America has been rapidly moving in the wrong direction on climate change over the past year. But there's one policy with bipartisan support that could restore those lost climate pollution reductions: permitting reform. Join Dana Nuccitelli, Research Manager for Citizens' Climate Lobby and journalist for Yale Climate Connections, for an in-depth overview of the challenging landscape that permitting reform negotiations must navigate, including ensuring that community engagement in the permitting process is strengthened, that environmental reviews are streamlined but not undermined, and that climate pollution is ultimately curbed.
